Bukidnon Distributes 177 Patrol Vehicles for Security

A total of 177 barangays in Bukidnon have received brand-new, modernized Barangay Patrol Vehicles from the provincial government in a turnover ceremony held on January 24, 2025. The vehicles, valued at approximately P50 million, aim to enhance the mobility and effectiveness of local peacekeeping efforts.

The patrol vehicles were distributed across the province’s four districts, with each vehicle expected to play a key role in improving emergency response times and overall public safety. Barangay San Miguel Captain Joel Camarillo of Maramag expressed his gratitude, saying the vehicles would enable faster responses to incidents, helping maintain peace and order in their communities. “This vehicle is a symbol of unity and resilience for the people of Bukidnon,” Camarillo stated. “It will serve as a vehicle of hope, enabling our barangay to provide timely support for emergencies and contribute to a safer environment.”

In addition, Barangay Tanod Amelito Salilo from San Vicente, Sumilao, thanked the provincial government, noting that the patrol vehicles will significantly improve their ability to conduct roving patrols and respond quickly to emergencies.

“We are thankful for this support. With these vehicles, we can respond to emergencies immediately, making our barangay safer and more secure,” Salilo said. Governor Rogelio Neil P. Roque stressed the importance of efficient local security measures, saying the vehicles will greatly enhance the capacity of barangays to maintain peace and order.

“The efficiency of our barangays is crucial. Through this initiative, we are supporting not only peace and order but also health and well-being across Bukidnon,” Roque said. The initiative also received strong backing from the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, with Vice Governor Quiñ0 praising the spirit of volunteerism in the province, particularly among Barangay Police. He emphasized the positive impact of the program on grassroots governance and public safety.
