Cagayan de Oro City officially launched its Chinese New Year celebrations with a vibrant ceremonial lighting event earlier this evening. Mayor Klarex Uy, alongside the Cagayan de Oro Filipino-Chinese Community, led the ceremony, which took place at the City Hall Executive Building and Gaston Park. The event was attended by members of the 20th City Council, department heads of the Local Government Unit (LGU-CDO), and various representatives from the Cagayan de Oro Filipino-Chinese Community, all coming together to mark the beginning of this year’s festivities.
