March 7, 2025, Cagayan de Oro City_Former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis "Chavit" Singson Friday urged local modernised transport cooperatives to avail of cashless transactions as he featured his line of electric buses.
Singson, as guest speaker during the 1st Liga ng Transport Operators Mindanao Summit, said that instead of paying in cash for their down payments, amortisation, and other fees thru banking institutions, his group is offering digital facilities for the ease of operators.
Manong Chavit, as he is popularly known, said aside from automated teller machine or ATM cards, payment kiosks will soon be available throughout the country
He added that the shift from fuel-fed vehicles to electric buses is timely and environmentally friendly.
