Compared to his successor in the Capitol and political rivals, Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno said his administration’s track record in both the province and Cagayan de Oro City speak volumes about the
validity and clarity of his development agenda for the people of Misamis Oriental.
As governor of Misamis Oriental from 2004 to 2013, Mayor Moreno said his administration several hospitals in the province, distributed PhilHealth cards to indigent families and opened more access roads to facilitate easier travel by both residents and visitors to and from the province. The Moreno administration’s reforms in the province’s health care system won the Galing Pook Award for Governance in 2011.
