Two additional Super Health Centers are set to be established in District One in 2025 under the program of the Department of Health (DOH) Region 10, with the support of 1st District Congressman Lordan Suan. This was announced during the DOH Consultative Meeting held on January 16, 2024, attended by representatives from congressional offices and barangay captains from Districts One and Two of the city.

1st District Assistant Director Bert Amplayo, who represented Congressman Suan at the meeting led by DOH Regional Director Dr. Sulpicio Henry M. Legaspi, Jr., shared that the two Super Health Centers will be funded and constructed in the barangays of Pagatpat and Baikingon. This news was met with great enthusiasm by the barangay captains, Gogoy Babaran and Jao Gumapac.

Amplayo further emphasized that this is just the beginning of the initiative to improve healthcare infrastructure, with Congressman Suan committed to advocating for more similar facilities, especially in remote barangays. The aim is to ensure that communities have easy access to emergency and basic healthcare services without the need to travel to the city center.
