REVILLA RECEIVES SOLID GRASSROOTS SUPPORT IN PANGASINAN, PUSHES PRO-PEOPLE LEGISLATION

SENATOR Ramon Bong Revilla, Jr. received solid and overwhelming grassroots support from the people of Pangasinan after embarking on a three-day campaign in the province from March 18 to 20. The veteran lawmaker directly engaged with communities and reinforced his legislative accomplishments in his long years of public service.

Upon his arrival on March 18, he met with senior citizens in the town of Pozorrubio, highlighting the law he championed – Republic Act No. 11982 or the “Expanded Centenarians Act” which grants P10,000 cash gift to those who reach the age of 80, 85, 90, and 95.” “Hindi natin pinabayaan at hindi natin pababayaan ang ating mga lolo at lola. Ang malasakit sa nakatatanda ay malasakit sa bawat pamilyang Pilipino,” Bong Revilla asserted.

Later that day, he met with barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials in Villasis, expressing strong support for a pending bill in Congress that seeks to extend their terms, allowing them to implement long-term development programs. It was followed by a motorcade that traversed the towns of Malasiqui, Bayambang, Bautista, Alcala, and Santo Tomas, which drew large crowds, underscoring Pangasinenses’ strong support to him.

The following day (March 19), Sen. Bong Revilla reinforced his commitment to local governance, meeting with barangay officials from the municipalities of Lingayen and Mangatarem to discuss institutional reforms. “Ang mga barangay ang unang takbuhan ng ating mamamayan. Kailangang tiyakin natin na may sapat silang panahon at suporta upang maipatupad ang kanilang mga proyekto,” he emphasized. The barangay empowerment champion once again shared to the crowd his unyielding support to provide longer years for the term of barangay officials.

In the afternoon, Bong Revilla once again conducted a motorcade in Dagupan City, which passed through key commercial districts in the city proper, including the public market. This highlighted the enthusiasm of local residents towards the long-time public servant.

On the third day, Bong Revilla attended the Crops and Fisher’s Day in Alaminos City, acknowledging the crucial role of farmers and fishers in economic and food security. “Kung walang magsasaka at walang mangingisda, walang pagkain sa hapag ng bawat Pilipino. Kaya marapat lamang na mas lalo silang suportahan,” he declared.

Senator Bong Revilla bared his campaign platform of providing “Pagkain sa Bawat Hapag”, which focuses on legislative agenda that includes prioritizing long-term support for the agriculture and fisheries sectors, reinforcing his pro-people stance.

Throughout the Pangasinan leg, Bong Revilla made clear his commitment to policies that directly uplift communities, declaring, “Ang tunay na lider, hindi lang nangangako – tumutupad, kumikilos, at hindi nang-iiwan. Ito ang Aksyon sa Tunay na Buhay,” he closed.
